The power of one. The power of togetherness. An Impact Giving Update
Okay, friends! Celebration-worthy on update from all of us here at Thankyou. We’re getting in before Thankyou’s 16th birthday (ah, they grow up so fast), with a bit of an update on the impact we’ve been able to create, together.
Yep, that’s right…$18.55M AUD raised and given to our impact partners, those on the front line working, fighting inequity, injustice and scarcity, to see a world where not one person lives in extreme poverty.

While this number has us jumping (skipping! hopping!) for joy, this next statistic is one of our favourites – from 2008 to 2020, Thankyou had raised and given $6.9M and from 2020 to now, together, we’ve raised and given $11.65M.
Biggest claps and HUGEST shoutout to the real heroes of this story, the innovators, the pioneers, and the legends who are in fact our incredible impact partners: Childrens Ground, D-prize, Nuru, One Heart Worldwide, and Raising The Village. We are in awe of the work that you do, and the communities that you serve.

This all wouldn’t be possible without you – our Thankyou community! We’re so thankful for all your support, and we are obsessed with those of you who live every day, and give every day by choosing Thankyou products above the rest! While there’s still a long way to go, we wanted to stop, reflect and remind you (and ourselves!) just how important the impact we’re making together is, and how valued each part you play in it.
The idea of impacting the world sometimes feels so lofty and far outside our reach. If you’re anything like us, it can at times feel a little overwhelming when we see the magnitude of the need and injustice in the world. Like, how can my efforts actually make a dent in the [insert cause] I care about?
The Imperfect Circle
If you didn’t know, on each of our products, and within our logo we have this little reminder – an imperfect circle symbol (yes, if you look closely at that full stop, you’ll see it!). The imperfect circle is a small imperfection that represents an important idea – (you, and I) humanity. We are imperfect. However, as a group of people that make up the team and friends of Thankyou – we’re committed to making the best of our cumulative imperfection. Our world faces some pretty huge challenges, but the smallest of stones thrown can bring down the biggest of giants. Together, we believe we are throwing that stone. Thankyou brings consumers (you!) a choice to help take down one giant; extreme poverty.
As you may already know (hey, OG Thankyou friends), we’ve always held onto this thought that if each of us individually brings what we have in our hand (the little or the lot; our skills, our talents, gifts, finances, ideas, strategies, thoughts, dreams etc. etc.), then we’ve found it to be true, time and time again, that if we each play our part – collectively, our impact has the potential to be bigger than we all imagined.
Little choices, big impact
So I guess this is our reminder, that when you’re next making that purchase of a Thankyou product, you’re choosing more than just a *silly little* hand wash or cleaning spray, you’re choosing to stand with and be part of something bigger. You’re choosing change in the world that only happens if we each do our small part. That’s $18.55M AUD worth of everyday people like you and I making little choices!
Even more than that, we want to remind you that whatever you’re passionate about, whatever injustice or ideas that pull on your heart, if you’re reading this, we want to remind you that your seemingly small efforts do add up. The world needs it.
It’s pretty deep thoughts for your morning scroll, but the world needs deep right?!
