We're announcing the end of Thankyou Water
We're announcing that this is the end, we're out. As of today, production has ceased, and the last bottles of Thankyou Water will be trickling off shelves over the coming months. It’s a big call for us to announce this, but we do want to assure you that Thankyou is not going anywhere. We have, and always will exist to see a world where not one person lives in extreme poverty.
We're all hands on deck (figuratively)!
So, the year has started a little different to how we’d all planned. It turns out global supply chains (and everyone else) were not ready for what 2020 had in store, and you probably have some questions about where our stock is at the moment.
Tackling the water, sanitation and hygiene crisis, one SPLASH at a time
Today, there is a water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) crisis.
1.9 million deaths are attributed to having a lack of access to WASH, which represents 3.3% of all global deaths. This represents 13% of deaths for children under 5.
Response to the news.com.au article
News Corp published an article today about Thankyou, and if you read it, you might have questions about our 100% model and how we’ve allocated funds to staff expenses, travel and entertainment.
Reflections from Kim, our impact field photographer
It’s not easy to make the transition from beautiful, safe Melbourne to witnessing extreme poverty in the most remote communities in the world. Working with Thankyou has given me the opportunity to work alongside passionate, world-changers who exhibit true resilience and strength and who are committed to transforming the lives of people in poverty through clean water, sanitation and hygiene education.
