Letter from the Trustees
The giving system’s broken. We helped break it.
On the 29th of September 2020, we launched a bold campaign: No Small Plan. It aims, in time, to raise hundreds of millions of dollars (and beyond) over the next decade for the end of extreme poverty. As bold as the launch was we wonder if the boldest part wasn’t found in the launch video, but in what you are about to read. Because sometimes, once you see something, you can’t unsee it. And so, you must change to forge bold new paths forward.
Tackling the water, sanitation and hygiene crisis, one SPLASH at a time
Today, there is a water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) crisis.
1.9 million deaths are attributed to having a lack of access to WASH, which represents 3.3% of all global deaths. This represents 13% of deaths for children under 5.
Reflections from Kim, our impact field photographer
It’s not easy to make the transition from beautiful, safe Melbourne to witnessing extreme poverty in the most remote communities in the world. Working with Thankyou has given me the opportunity to work alongside passionate, world-changers who exhibit true resilience and strength and who are committed to transforming the lives of people in poverty through clean water, sanitation and hygiene education.

Biti's Story
Meet Bithika, also known as Biti.
Her smile lights up a room and her eyes tell stories of friendship, loyalty and overcoming.
We sat down with Biti and she opened up about how challenging life used to be for the women in her community but that's not the end of her story.
Finding Your Voice
“I feel very independent and confident,” Momotaz proudly tells our team. “Through these programs, I learnt that my voice should be valued too,”
Stories from the field
At Thankyou, we believe every person has equal value and the right to a life free from poverty.
It is not okay that 844 million people around the world don’t have access to safe water and 2.4 billion people don’t have access to safe water!
